Who we are
dedic.to is a song dedication app — it lets you send a music video card to someone you care about and receive dedications anonymously. It is operated by an independent developer. Questions: dcodeforyou@gmail.com
What we collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the service:
Email address — provided via Google Sign-In. Used solely to identify your account.
Display name — the name you choose when creating your dedications page. Shown publicly on your page link.
Dedication content — song choice, recipient name, and any message you write. Stored so the recipient can view their card.
Share hash — a randomly generated short ID that forms your unique page URL (e.g. dedic.to/for/abc12345).
Theme preference — light or dark mode. Stored only on your device (localStorage). Never sent to our servers.

Contacts or address book
Device identifiers for advertising
Microphone or camera input
Browsing activity outside of dedic.to
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
How we use your data
To create and display your dedications page
To deliver dedication cards to your inbox
To authenticate your account across sessions
Third-party services
Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on Supabase servers. Supabase Privacy Policy
Google — used for Sign-In only. We receive your email and name; we do not receive your Google contacts or other Google data. Google Privacy Policy
iTunes Search API — used to search for songs. No personal data is sent to Apple during search.
Instagram / Snapchat / TikTok — only if you explicitly tap "share to Instagram / Snap / TikTok." Your card image or video is handed directly to the social app on your device; we do not transmit it to their servers.
Data retention
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. If you delete your account or request deletion, all associated data (email, display name, dedications) is permanently removed from our database within 30 days. To request deletion, email dcodeforyou@gmail.com with subject line "Delete my account."
Children
dedic.to is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Security
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Data at rest is stored on Supabase, which uses industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
